Talk- Coldplay
Our age is retrospective. It builds the sepulchers of the fathers. It writes biographies, histories and criticism.... Nature- Ralph Waldo Emerson.Recently I spoke to a friend. She's about a year or two older than I am. As we spoke of the things we had in common, she mentioned that she wished she did more when she had the chance. To which I replied "But what if there was no chance given?" She smiled and said "You're right but it helps, you know? It helps me understand that if things were differently, I wouldn't here. And I wouldn't have all that I have now".
Sweat drips down her face as she reaches for her squeeze bottle and empties the liquid on herself. The water brings a temporary relief to the heat beating down on her.
"What is the point of this anyway?" she thinks to herself. "Maybe," she thinks to herself, "Maybe I love running because it feels like I can physically run away from my problems."
It is partially true. Running makes her feel like her troubles are far away and with the wind in her feet, she feels like she can soar above them all. Perhaps it could be the angst-ridden music she listens to on her iPod as she runs. All that combined allows her a little space to clear her mind.
Unfortunately she can't keep running and when she finally stops, her problems catches up and overtakes her.
"What is the point of it anyway?"

Authors note: If you're asking "why is Abby blogging like a really angsty teen nowadays?" Excellent question. When I find an answer, I will let you know because for the life of me, I don't have any comment because I haven't got a clue either.
