Today is the 18th of April.

A special day.

And when I say special, I mean that someone has been constantly reminding us on how special the 18th of April is.
And believe me, when I say reminding, her reminders are very cute.

This year, it came in the form of songs.

From Broadway, to the oldies to even David Archuleta, nothing seemed to escape her talent of making up her own lyrics to fit the tune.

A long, long time ago..

This post is a late one. I was supposed to do it last Monday but I have a hectic schedule and apparently, blogging was not in my 'To-do list".
Actually, I forgot.
Anyway, I went back to the kampung during easter and it was an experience of a lifetime. I say lifetime because this is the first AND the last I would EVER see two ducks and one chicken being slaughtered. Believe me, it ain't a pretty sight.

Aww.. He's shy.. The duck sitting in the boot of the car. It was awfully quiet. I guess he knew what his future held.

Another duck and the chicken. They're wrapped in newspapers and 'disarungkan' in a plastic bag so that they wouldn't try to escape.


After the *finger to throat with a 'slit throat' motion*.. Shudder..

After 'decapitating' it. They poured hot water over it so that the feathers can be pulled out easily.

My mum's friend gave us some really cute Easter eggs. They're not for eating. I like the pink one cos it purrdy..

Sport's Day Pictures

If you're wondering why on Earth are we cranning our necks, we were actually looking at the grasscutter. Kim (known for her randomness), suddenly exclaimed: Look at the grasscutter! Can you blame us for looking? And no, the grasscutter was not hot.

Beautiful, no? Don't you think it makes you feel good just by looking at it? I mean, to know that there are still nice people on Earth giving out free drinks to thirsty people =D

This orange liquid is our drink. One big bottle of Sunquick with half a 25oml of sugar water and lots of water until it tastes good. Oh, and lots of ice!

Sports Day '09

Or should I say, the best Sports Day ever =) In the words of Lippy.

Well, it definitely felt like it..

Although my friends and I did not participate in any events, we were there to offer our support and to offer a nice cold drink, courtesy of the ISCF.

Yes, we nice.. We know..

After all the cheering, laughing and preparing drinks in a cauldron, we decided to walk all the way to McD.

I swear it was because of impaired judgement due to excessive exposure to the sun and heat.

So, the walk to McD's proved to be successful considering the fact that we made it there in one piece. Oh, and McD wasn't closed nor did it run out of yummy, delightful McFlurry.

However, they downsized it. Which is mean.. Hmph.. And the price is still the same. Believe it or not. Sigh..

The effects of recession should not be used as an excuse to extort money. This is daylight robbery, I tell you! Robbery!!... *fades into background*
