This Ain't Tinseltown

It's like forgetting words to your favorite song

I am rushing through this because I really want to make it in time for it to be considered a Christmas post. Except I didn't think things through so I have no idea what this post is going to be about.

Would it be about my recent head-scratching moment with McDonald's?

Would it be about my recent phone conversation with my best friend who's going to America in January?

Would it be about a recent text message I received from another friend that made me wonder why sometimes life can be pretty unfair?

Would I maybe write about how I spent my week in Kuching only for it to end in a few days time?

Perhaps I could consider writing about how I managed to use a ladder to change the mosquito netting on the kitchen window.

And maybe I won't.

So, have a very merry Christmas and an awesome year ahead!

PS: This may not be the best Christmas but it's certainly great to finally spend it with the family (:

We Danced On Tabletops

T-minus 5 days and counting

This morning I went to JPN to change my IC and I was prepared to say goodbye to my 12 year-old face and practicing my smile and making sure my hair does not "obscure my eyebrows" as per JPN's regulations.

I didn't have to wait long when my number was called. Before anything, I had to askk the lady behind the counter if renewing it would take long because I wouldn't be able to wait for more than 10 days. Good news! If everything goes well, I can collect it after 2 hours. Now that's how you start the day- with smashing news.

But hey, it's me we're talking about. Things don't just go well with me. My fingerprints were not a match to the ones recorded. Turns out, the officer who did my IC when I was 12 didn't do a good job and if I want to renew my IC now, I would have to wait for up to 4 months to get it done. Thanks a lot, officer, whoever you may be.

So I've decided to wait until I am done with my exams in the 4th semester next year to do it.

Remember I got my license some time ago? Recently I asked my dad if there would ever be a chance that I could drive his car. Notes that might help: the car is new. Less than a year old. His answer? On a straight road..Maybe. So I have 2 terms to fulfill. One is that it has to be a straight road. Another is that I have to seek his approval. That probably means I will never touch the Sentra ever. Doesn't matter. He can continue driving me around, not that I mind :B

On a completely different note, I think ladybugs are adorable.

This Side Of Me

I managed to cut myself while sorting out the new books in the library. Yes, I'm a klutz like that. In fact, sometimes I think my body malfunctions as a human being. Holding my phone above my face on the bed and for some reason, my hand decides to release the phone and smack! into my face.

Speaking of bodily malfunctions, sometimes when I'm eating, my tongue decides to pretend it's food and I chomp down on it. Or when I laugh too hard and run out of breath forcing me to take an unexpected inhalation and tadah! A snort is produced. A brief moment of shock registers on your face and then embarrassment sets in. And life goes on ;]

We go together like peanut butter and jelly. Different yet they work well.

Recently I had a conversation with my sister about cats and listed out reasons why we prefer cats over dogs. One reason is because cats are floppy. Pick a cat up and they're just so floppy :D Dogs on the other hand are quite stiff. The least perfect analogy to explain would be cats are like the cooler side of a pillow :3

Christmas is in 11 days and now I'm slightly excited so I shall grace you with my Christmas list.
1. A tee-shirt that says: When my earphones are in, don't bother trying to talk to me. Or any other quirky shirts.
2. A stuffed dinosaur. Preferably blue. But any colour is fine.
3. Money. If you don't know what to get me, just give me money. That way I can buy another pair of shorts cos you'd either get the size and style wrong, do my hair, more shoes. See, I'm not asking for much. Not asking for a new phone or a better lappy or anything expensive. Just asking for the little things in life that makes me happy. Like money :B

Or better still, we could just hang out ;] I'd like that.
